At Greenyard Logistics Poland, we focus on both national and international refrigerated transport and frozen food transport. We know that these two types of transport require a different logistical approach and fleet equipment. That is why our logistics centres are located in Poland’s largest cities and are prepared to receive, store and dispatch both refrigerated and frozen products.
The common element for both types of products is the maintenance of controlled thermal conditions. The transport of frozen products is based on container freezers and trailers equipped with specialised refrigeration equipment. Maintaining a temperature of -18°C requires not only efficient refrigeration, but also insulation and control systems. The same applies to the transport of refrigerated products, which require temperatures in the 0–4°C/6–8°C ranges.
The difference between both types of transport is not only the temperature but also the type of product. If we consider the transport of frozen goods, these are mostly ready-to-eat dishes and preparations, meat, vegetables, fruit and plants. Refrigerated trucks, on the other hand, generate temperatures close to zero or slightly higher, which is suitable for dairy products, certain types of meat and cold cuts, fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables.
On a day-to-day basis, we use multi-temperature (BITEMP) refrigerated trucks, which allows us to combine goods requiring different temperature ranges in a single load compartment. Thanks to this solution, we effectively optimise transport costs in the LTL/general cargo areas.
