Principles of temperature-controlled transport
The carriage of goods within Poland and international transport requires strictly defined requirements. We transport frozen goods using our fleet of vehicles or on board container ships. Delivering frozen goods intact requires us to follow special procedures and use advanced tools. These include:
- efficient refrigeration systems. Bringing a freezer or refrigerated container to the required temperature is only the beginning of the process. The most important thing is to maintain the stable thermal conditions for the entire duration of the cargo transport. With efficient refrigeration systems, temperature-controlled transport is safe for products and consumers;
- thermal insulation of the warehouse. The transport vehicle should be thermally insulated to minimise the impact of external temperature changes on the products inside. Adequate insulation helps to maintain stable transport conditions;
- specific temperature range. Each group of foodstuffs requires transport under specific conditions. At Greenyard Logistics Poland, we have the equipment to transport frozen food at temperatures of -18°C and higher;
- transport temperature monitoring. Sensors and security systems in warehouses allow us to constantly monitor the thermal conditions inside the freezer. An advanced control system can also initiate emergency processes in the event of damage to transport elements;
- an experienced team of employees. Those responsible for loading, securing and unloading products should be properly trained in temperature-controlled transport procedures. This also includes the proper packaging of frozen items.
